Sega Saturn

The Saturn did quite well in Japan, but failed in Europe and USA after a while. Sega first designed Saturn to be a 2D console. Unfortunately, Sonys PlayStation made 3D games very popular and most third party developers had problems developing for the Saturn. The Saturn was a hard system to develope for - Sega corrected this fault with their next console, the Dreamcast.
